(Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. January 27, 2015) – The Muslim Council of Greater Hamilton (MCGH), a coalition of Hamilton area mosques and community organizations are holding a three-day “open house” entitled “Who is Muhammad?” to help stimulate an open dialogue with the greater Hamilton community.
“The three-day event will open with a public forum co-sponsored by the Hamilton Spectator on Thursday, February 5, from 6:30pm to 9:00pm at the Hamilton Spectator Auditorium,” said Dr. Ali Taher Ghouse, President of the Muslim Council of Greater Hamilton. “The forum will be hosted by Mr. Paul Berton, Editor-in-Chief of the Hamilton Spectator and will feature panellists Imam Hosam Helal of the Hamilton Mountain Mosque, Imam Sayed Tora of the Downtown Mosque, and Dr. Hamid Slimi, Imam of the Sayeda Khadija Centre based in Mississauga.”
The open house will continue at the Hamilton Mountain Mosque on Friday, February 6 from 8:00pm-9:00pm with an open discussion and Q+A about ‘Jihad’, and on Saturday from 5:30pm to 6:30pm on ‘The Compassion of the Prophet – Why Muslims revere Muhammad”.
The public is welcome to attend.
